Recycled Beech Myrtle

Salvaged from a
Hawthorn retail premises, this small batch of Tasmanian Myrtle is in
good condition but has some loose edge residues and a painted surface
on many boards.
It requires
pre-cleaning of edges, but applied surfaces will sand off easily.
Cheap mainly
because it's a small batch - but if you need more, get in touch.
There's a similar size at Spotswood that we sourced from a different
demolition.

retained thickness of board, but has pronounced edge residues
requiring cleaning and preventing a tightly fitting floor.
Older
polyurethane coating will sand easily and suit a rustic floor or a
studio where no additional sanding/polishing is desired.

attic in Camberwell, this batch was worn, abraded and silvered in patina
unlike the downstairs - so we kept it separate.
These shed or studio
floors are popular - but this is on special because it is a small batch
with no ready companion batch to sell for a large order.
220 metres will cover
23m2 and look great without sanding and finishing.
Recycled New Guinea Rosewood

The identification is
putative, but this floor is moderately dense - $800 to 950kg per m3 by
estimation
with the darker heartwood boards heavier than the lighter toned boards.
A light polish shows
intense grain definition.
This isn't a eucalyptus
species and lacks the blandness and coarse grain of most equatorial
timbers.
436 metres salvaged
from a house in Mt Waverley will cover 44.5m2 in a new project.
Boards are in good
condition with clean edges.

will cover 30.7m in this unusual 155mm size floorboard.
Clean edge and good
condition of board will ensure an easy install.
Boards have been
heavily and unevenly sanded in the past to 4mm above tongue.
This is evident in
images, but plenty of life left in this timber as an overlay
installation.

recycled fine-grained Oregon.
Would suit
coverstrap or architrave on a wall cladding or a small furniture
